    Supply Chain Resilience

    “Which node, if it fails, hurts most — and for how long?”

    Every network quietly depends on a node nobody worries about. This study stress-tests each one in the Simchi-Levi tradition — Time-to-Recover measured against Time-to-Survive — and ranks failures by how deep the damage runs and how long it lingers. The riskiest node is rarely the obvious one; it is the one that never made it onto the map.

    Demand Planning Diagnostics

    “Is our forecast actually adding value — and where is it worst?”

    Forecast Value Added in the Gilliland tradition, judged against a naive baseline that does not care about anyone's feelings. Then ADI/CV² segmentation after Syntetos–Boylan–Croston, to separate the demand you can forecast from the demand you should simply buffer. Some series deserve a statistician; others deserve a safety stock.

    Scenario reconciliation in the Wallace / Oliver Wight tradition: three demand futures pushed through rough-cut capacity until the trade-offs surface as numbers instead of opinions. The output is not a forecast — it is a commitment with a price tag attached, ready for the executive S&OP meeting.

Chart II — Principles of navigation

How the charts get drawn.

A map is only useful if you can trust its maker. These are the drafting rules — held to whether the chart is for a boardroom or a repository.

  • Judgment over code craft.

    Tools change every season. Knowing which question actually matters does not.

  • Bounded claims.

    A good chart shows its own edges. Every conclusion ships with the conditions under which it breaks.

  • Reproducible by construction.

    Seed everything. Same inputs, same answer — an analysis you cannot re-run is a rumour.

  • Every number computed, not asserted.

    No figure without a trail back to the data. If it cannot be traced, it does not get plotted.

  • Synthetic data, labelled synthetic.

    Demo cargo gets declared at customs. Nothing sails under a false flag.
